Our second grant was made to the Bush family. Laura Bresnahan Bush was diagnosed in November 2021 with Stage IV colon cancer. Laura was a young mother, just 35 years of age at the time of her diagnosis. Our grant went out to the family in June 2022. Sadly, after a 13-month battle, she passed away from the disease in December 2022. Her husband, Brendan, now serves as an advisor to our foundation.
