ABOUT US

Hartford Family Foundation, Inc. was created to honor the spirit of Darcie Hartford – a beautiful woman, wife and mother of two young children who lived bravely, vulnerably and optimistically throughout her treatment of cancer. ​She was diagnosed with Stage IV colorectal cancer in July 2019.  After a 2.5-year battle with the disease, she passed away on November 21, 2021 at the age of 38.

Both her love of family and the support from our community during her journey inspire our mission.  Without her experience, this organization would not exist – but it is her energy of happiness and joy that we choose to channel as we move forward with our efforts.
